August 9 Welcoming Gathering Postponed
The Welcoming Gathering will instead be folded into the Welcoming Gathering to be held after the October Walks to be held in Fallon, Nevada. The Gathering itself is tentatively scheduled for November 1, 2014 at South Reno UMC.

July 19, 2014 Board Meeting
A sampling from the Minutes of the July Board Meeting:
There was discussion about the issue of raising Walk/Flight fees versus actively pursuing yearly contributions from the Community. A Community member was tasked with researching the use of a web-based donation process (like PayPal) to make it easier to donate. Currently each Community member is asked to donate $20.00 per year with an additional $5.00 that would be added to the scholarship fund. Donations are being sent to Treasurer Rob Dunning at 1910 G Street, Eureka 95501. So, if you haven’t already done so, you can pop a check in the mail.
It was suggested that the Kitchen Budget be increased from $1,500 to $1,800 per Walk/Flight based on 25 Pilgrims/Caterpillars. Current Walk/Flight budget amounts for teams seem to be adequate. Those teams are, Agape, Snacks, Decorations, Lay Director, and Love team.
Potential Walk sites for 2015 were discussed. Suggestions made were Madera, Antioch, Atwater, Turlock, South Reno and Gardnerville.
Potential Flight sites for summer of 2015 were also discussed. Suggestions made were St. Mark’s and Fairfield Community UMC.
